Abstract:
Control union is one of the renewed certification body established in
Netherlands in 1920. It has started its operation in Bangladesh on 2007
and it was operated form India. Later, 2011 it has established its own
office in Bangladesh. I have done my internship in Control Union
Bangladesh covering the area of “Human Resources Management
Practice of Control Union Bangladesh.”
Control Union’s main business in Bangladesh is certification. Apart from
certification, Control Union also working on inspection side like
Commodity Inspection, Food, Grain, Warehouse services, Draught
survey etc. In case of certification, main focusing area if Textile
Industry in Bangladesh mostly they are doing sustainable certification
such as Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Organic Content
Standard (OCS), Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Recycled Claim
Standard (RCS), ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SEDEX, Higg Index Verification,
Ethical Trade Initiative etc. At this moment, in Bangladesh they have
more than thousands certified units from different standards.
In my report, I tried to represent the actual HR Practices of Control
Union Bangladesh and based on my analysis I have figured out some
findings and made some recommendation against my findings.
