dc.description.abstract We make network calls if two and more computers are interconnected and are able to exchange data or information. We want to increase the number of PCs and exchange data or data from one to another while we need to have some special PCs called the server. There are different types of tasks on the network, which is why the server has different functions. For example-DSN server, Web server, mail server, proxy server, FTP server, firewall. They each work differently and it's impossible to maintain a network without them. If the network is connected to the Internet and we want to protect your information they must install the server using the Linux operating system. That's why I choose this topic in my report "ISP (Linux platform) server installation and Configuration ". The report discusses the objectives of the specific server used in the ISP, the hardware requirements for the server, the software and installation process of the software, the configuration of the server, and the steps with simple troubleshooting of the server. en_US
