Trend Analysis of Environment News Covered in Major Dailies of Bangladesh

Abstract

Climate change is one of the most talked topic in the world. Like any other country, Bangladesh is also facing several devastative situations due to negative climate change. Therefore information on environment in every country, needs to be spread in great manner. Newspaper is one of the kind media which actually can play vital role to act as an effective platform to communicate environmental issue among people. So this research seeks to explore the news coverage of some major daily newspapers of Bangladesh in Dhaka city on environment issues. I with this research tried to explore whether Bangladeshi newspapers cover sufficiently environment issues to deal environmental crisis. My objective for this study will be to analysis the number of environmental news, type of the content and given treatment to the same issue.
