dc.description.abstract Cinema has a way of integrating itself in the culture of a society in a way that perhaps all other form of art fail to do so. The lifeblood of a society is expressed in raw delight through cinema. Bangladesh, similarly, has captured the common people's attention for decades with its cinema. But the perception of the industry, of Bangla Cinema to be precise, is different across different groups of people. While talking to people about Bangladeshi cinema, many have seen to have negative opinion about it. Specially the students of film/media who will take the legacy henceforth. To get a solution for the current state of Bangla movies and the overall film industry, there is no better method than getting insights from the film and media students who have an active participation in this sector henceforward. Using mixed methods research, this study intends to gather a better understanding of what the students enrolled in Film/Media Studies themselves think of Bangla Cinema and what are the explanation behind their opinion. en_US
