The Present Scenario of English Language Teaching in a Bangladeshi School

Abstract

Nowadays, English is taught as a mandatory subject in our country. Although the the the roadway of English language teaching in our country is ancient but still, we have not achieved our desired level in this concern. People from the English language and literature background are accountable to think about how we can develop the system of English language teaching in educational institutions of our country.In this thought the department of English of Daffodil International University wants its student to have practical knowledge about the present scenarios of English language teaching in Bangladesh under a course Project Paper. Their internship must be appreciable. To do Project Paper I have got the chance to learn a communication approach to observe and conduct three classes of three different teachers of an educational institution. In this report, I have to observe three classes and take three classes in a school. Accordingly, I have chosen the Shaheed Zia Girls High School & College, which is in my area. After giving permission, the Headmaster introduces me to English teachers for cooperating with me to complete my internship. The teachers helped me to complete my work. I have got the chance of observing three classes and I have also conducted three classes. The teachers and Headmistress really supported me to accomplished my internship. The students were friendly to me and they helped me. It was pleasant to do an internship. It was pleasant to do an internship at Shaheed Zia Girls High School & College.
