dc.description.abstract Career Counseling is a major topic for our students to choose the appropriate field of study after completion of high school. Student always hesitates to choose their field of study which is a crucial part of their life, because their jobs and work are depended on it. The field of study will be chosen by knowing the student's interest and background study. This will be focused on Bangladeshi students. In this paper, we proposed a Machine Learning data mining technique to recommend the student in which field of study they should continue their career. We have used dummy datasets to complete our research. Two algorithms are used here to compare which can give better accuracy in our career recommendation system. Naïve Bayes gave 60% accuracy and k-NN gave us 64% accuracy which is quite unsatisfactory. However, with real-world datasets, we can identify the field of study for a student more accurately. Finally, our research can be of real help not only for Bangladeshi students but also for an educational institutions and other enterprises. en_US
