I have undertaken the course ENG 221: Project Paper under the guidance of Nahida Akter Poly, lecturer, department of English, Daffodil International University. Since this was my last semester of B. A (Hon’s) in English program, I had to take an internship course Project Paper ( ENG-221). We were supposed to take and observe classes at school. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 outbreak we had to switch to online classes. We held our online classes on Google Meet. It was bit challenging but with the permission of our authority we conducted our project paper work online. My supervisor helped me through the process of internship. Two of my peers had their internship online like me. My peers observed my class and I observed theirs. In this way, I experienced online university class through Google Meet. I had to take the internship project for my academic purpose. So, this internship project was focused on this prevailing situation and made a report about it to achieve the output of the entire learning system. |

This report will show the present scenario of English language teaching at Daffodil International University through the online platform Google Meet during the outbreak of COVID-19. Here, I have included my experience of observing two classes and conducting one class. I conducted my class for a tertiary level at Daffodil International University. During this internship process, I have worked through my skills, knowledge, challenge, teaching and learning style, observation, assessment, evaluation etc. This record displays the techniques and methods followed by the teacher of that university while teaching their respective courses. I filled up my checklist during class obsrevation to find out the strength and weakness of my peers. I also focused on teaching English language through literature. |
