Abstract:
In the view of COVID-19 pandemic and government policy to carry out online learning, the present research aimed at investigating how English language and literature class would be taught in Bangladeshi institutes. As a student of the Department of English, I was so much interested in English language class. During the lock-down situation we could not conduct any physical class but our cherished Daffodil International University gave us an opportunity to fulfill our project paper. At first I discussed with my supervisor and made a group which included five members. Then I want permission of my supervisor for observing one of her classes. With the help of a semi-structured observation checklist, I observed the whole class and noticed some technique that were used in the class like teaching aid, teaching style, teaching method, feedback etc. The main focus of this observation was how taught English language was taught online during the period of COVID-19. She also gave me an opportunity to conduct a class. I observed two language classes which were conducted by one of the teachers. I also taught one online class. I found out some potencies and impotency of online teaching which have been clearly presented in this project paper.

The corona virus has become an epidemic worldwide. And to control the pandemic situation every educational institute has been shut down. During this condition, the educational activities started practicing on online. This helps student to continue their education stayed at home. Daffodil International University is one of them. As a student of English department I am grateful for that. In this sequence the course Project Paper (ENG334) has been successfully done by me. The hard work and combined effort of teachers and head of the department made it successful to complete the project report. By the instructions of my supervisor I observed two different classes. Then he told me to conduct a class. According to the instruction I took an half an hour class on the topic “Past Tense”. I took the class following the previous class observations. With the special care and effort of my supervisor Dipty Rahman, I successfully completed my internship report.
