dc.description.abstract Bangladesh is a developing country and the country's economy is dependent on agricultural work and industrial factories, it is constantly struggling to meet this growing energy demand. Most of Bangladesh's energy consumption comes from fossil fuels. And to meet this energy demand we have to rely mainly on natural gas and coal-based power plants. As a result, the pressure on fossil fuels is increasing and its amount is decreasing day by day which is not pleasant for us at all. In order to solve this problem, we have tried to highlight in this study the use of solar power and the pioneering role it can play in meeting the national electricity demand. In our proposed system, we have compared the difference between solar panel-based power and the power generated from the national grid. From which it is found that the cost of solar panel-based electricity is less than the electricity generated from the national grid. Although its initial cost for solar panel-based power generation is a little higher, but after a certain period of time these costs can be recovered. Also, solar panel based solar power plants are environmentally friendly, meaning that it does no harm to the environment, as fossil fuel-based power plants do by producing carbon-dioxide. In this proposal we have used Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Renewables (HOMER) software for cost analysis, energy analysis etc. and the results obtained from it have also been analyzed en_US
