Timetable Displayer

Abstract

Timetable Displayer is a web based application. The system is used to build and manipulate an educational institution's class routine. A timetable for an educational institute is a temporary arrangement of a series of lectures and classrooms in which all the restrictions specified are met. Through automating this process with a computer-assisted timetable display, admin who is interested in designing and maintaining course timetables will save a lot of valuable time. Because each institution has its own timetabling problem, the software packages that are commercially available cannot meet any educational institution's needs. I have therefore created a realistic approach to developing a timetabling system for lecture courses, which can be modified to suit any timetabling problem for educational institutions. This project implements a functional timetabling algorithm, used in an integrated timetabling method, able to easily take care of both strong and weak constraints. Until they are finalized for a given term, each student can access their timetable, but they cannot update it.
