dc.description.abstract In the view of Covid-19 pandemic and government policy to carry out online learning, the present research aimed at investing how English language and literature class would be taught in Bangladeshi institutes. The project paper aims to present the current scenario of higher education during the outbreak of Covid-19. To maintain the normal flow of education, any kind of universities in Bangladesh are using different online platforms like google meet app, zoom app, messenger etc. This project paper aims to show the approaches teachers are trying to reach the students with through English. This paper also aims to find out the strengths and weakness faced by both the students and teachers while teaching and learning. This project is to investigate the language teaching methods, medium of instruction for English Language Teaching, students English proficiency level, teachers effectiveness on English language teaching and administrative concern on English language teaching. Some recommendations, critiques and suggestions have also been sought in the paper to strengthen the strengths and weaken the weaknesses of the online teaching-learning approach. And the paper is developed in the quantitative research framework. en_US
