dc.description.abstract In the view of COVID-19 pandemic and government policy to carry out online learning, the present research aimed at investigating how English language and literature class would be taught in Bangladeshi institutes. As a student of the Department of English, I was so much interested in English language class. During the lock-down situation we could not conduct any physical class but our cherished Daffodil International University gave us an opportunity to fulfill our project paper. At first I discussed with my supervisor and made a group which included five members. Then I want permission of my supervisor for observing one of her classes. With the help of a semi-structured observation checklist, I observed the whole class and noticed some technique that were used in the class like teaching aid, teaching style, teaching method, feedback etc. The main focus of this observation was how taught English language was taught online during the period of COVID-19. She also gave me an opportunity to conduct a class. I observed two language classes which were conducted by one of the teachers. I also taught one online class. I found out some potencies and impotency of online teaching which have been clearly presented in this project paper. en_US
