dc.description.abstract Bangladesh is situated in a seismically active region. Part of the country extended from Sylhet to Chittagong is in the high seismic zone whereas Dhaka lies in the moderate seismic zone and Khulna lies in low risk zone. In the present situations of construction industry, the buildings that are being constructed are gaining significance, in general, those with the best possible outcomes which are referred to members like beams and columns in multi storeys R.C structures. ETABS mainly used for structures like RC buildings, steel and concrete structures. The paper aims to analyze a RC building by considering seismic, dead and live loads. The design criteria for RC buildings are strength, serviceability and stability. The version of the software used is ETABS 2016.In the present study, we will mainly determining base shear,Storey displacement and percentage of column reinforcements on structural system are subjected and also comparing the results of seismic zones1, 2, 3, and 4. this paper we observed that when we are increased the storey height for the same zone co-efficient ,displacement ,base shear and required reinforcement are increased but stability are decreased so we can say that the building designed in the lower zone may collapse in the design in the higher zone. en_US
