dc.description.abstract Internship project of English language teaching in a Bangladeshi school was a great experience for me. It was much helpful in improving my teaching skill. My internship work was performed in “Dhanmondi Rotary Club High School” which was located nearby my residence. When I was assigned this internship work by the English Department of Daffodil International University, then I myself had to search for schools for getting the allowance of performing this task. It was hard enough to get the allowance and finally I got the permission of performing this work from the authority and the Headmaster of “Dhanmondi Rotary Club Girls High School”. On the first day, I was introduced to the English teachers of class 6, 7 and 9. They were so helpful and let me observe the classes. I observed the way in which the teachers were teaching the students. I learnt how to control classes and to make the class lessons much more effective in an interesting way. On the first day of my observation, the teacher of class 9 took class on “paragraph writing”. Next day the teacher of class 6 took a class on English for today. Then the very next day, I again observed class but it was of class 7. The teacher took class on “Parts Of Speech”. That day, I talked to the students and the teachers about the class lessons on which I would take classes the following day. So, I started to get myself prepared for those lessons and made a lecture plan on how I would take classes efficiently within the limited time frame. I took three classes of class 6, 7 and 9. On the first day of my class, I took class 6 on “Tense. Next day I took class 7 on “sentence”. On the third day, I took class of class 9 on “English for today”. I tried my best to teach the students in proper way though sometimes it was little bit difficult to maintain the discipline in the classroom. Because I was nervous, at the same time it was new for me to take classes. But more or less, the students were attentive and helpful. After delivering my lecture, the students were asked questions about the topic and the response. The students were really good. After that, I was given feedback reports about my class by the teachers of these classes and I was certified by the Headmaster of that school ©Daffodil International University vi for my good internship work. All these feedback reports, photographs and certificates have been attached to this report to make this report is much more attractive and efficient. en_US
