Abstract:
Due to the pandemic of Covid-19 whole education system is affected and educational
agencies have shifted their teaching platforms. The agencies have found alternative ways to
overcome this difficult circumstance through online education. As face-to-face education is
not possible in this situation so English teachers are using several online platforms to ensure
English language learning is more efficient and effective. This project aims to present the
actual scenario of online English language teaching. This project portrays how online
platforms are different from physical platforms, how many difficulties teachers and students
are facing in online platforms, how to improve to conduct classes online, and try to discover
that, Is the online classroom better than physical classroom? However, regarding the topic
after exquisite observation and collecting all required data, it has been found that many
teachers, as well as many students, are facing several obstacles in online classes. Since
online learning is a new journey and experience to all that is why in some cases the quality of
education has decreased significantly and students are facing various issues to understand
the classes. Therefore, this paper shows the causes and the solution to the obstacles in the
online education system at the university level in Bangladesh with highlighting the challenge
and success of online classes also the demerit of online classes in language learning is
shown in this report with some possible goals of improvement concerning this area.
