Abstract

Starting my internship was an excellent experience for me. Even though I was handling the lifestyle section, I often visited the Daily Ittefaq Office. I had to visit the office to understand my task. I was assigned a specific time to attend the office, and I had to work there for a couple of hours. Completing my daily task was not easy. At first, the supervisor taught me the basics. So, I was learning for the first couple of weeks. My experience in the Daily Ittefaq taught me something valuable about journalism. It's not easy to manage a newspaper, let alone its online version. Journalism is not about writing news stories or some lifestyle features. Instead, the newspaper crew is trying their heart and soul to research, edit and write honest, ethical news. I was starting to merge with the process too.
