Textile, cement, glass, plastic, sugar, tanning, petroleum are major polluting industries. Little or no

effective management and controlled practices for pollution prevention and control, but authorities
have started to pay attention in this regard. Pollution control has become the primary concern of the
environment today. The objective of this paper is to explore the impact of environmental pollution on
the environment and society. To develop an understanding of environmental degradation, the study
discusses the various types of effluents that impact the environment adversely. Recommendations for
alternative measures that can be helpful for controlling pollution.
