Abstract:
Purpose: Lung cancer is a type of cancer that starts in the cells that line the airways in the lungs.
It is the main reason why both men and women die from cancer. Small and non-small cell lung
cancer are the two primary forms. These two types grow and are cared for in different ways. My
aim for this study was to see the current treatment and practices to prevent lung cancer.
Methods: A literature review.
Results: A review of many articles on lung cancer indicates survival rates that are poor. If lung
cancer could be found sooner, more people would be able to live. In most countries, the 5-year
survival rate is between 10% and 20%, but in Japan, it's 33%, in Israel, it's 27%, and in the
Republic of Korea, it's 25%. The results are often worse in poorer countries.
Conclusions: 1.7% of all deaths in Bangladesh, or 12,174 people, were affected by lung cancer.
Bangladesh has a death rate of 10.24 per 100,000 people.
