Study on Finishing of a Garments Industry

Abstract

Now there has been a revolution in Bangladesh's garment export business. The economy grew gradually day by day and became the second highest manufactured garment Exporting country. All these depend on the quality and quality of the garment finishing process. And makes the finishing section the most important part of garment making. Garments stitched in it go through various processing stages like thread cutting, ironing, quality checking, folding and poly-packing and then cartooning. This study is based on basic t-shirt and polo shirt knitwear finishing processes in finished garments manufacturing companies. Vast stock of knowledge which helps to know & improve how the finishing process is done and various types of finishing faults and their remedies. A garment, product to be made going through different types of processing. During this processing, products can be manufactured with some different types of faults. In this thesis paper make with various finishing processing data Production rate, rejection rate, product pass rate percentage and defects per hundred units for 12 days. As well as it is included with data analysis which data collect from different finishing section in garments by personal physical visit to the factory .Finally the report is finished with conclusion where some proposal for the best expected production number ,less defects & finishing quality can be improve.
