dc.description.abstract I believe it is essential to be aware of our surroundings and informed about what is going on in the world. Newspapers are one of the most major sources of information that can help us keep up to date. The Business Standard is a privately owned newspaper in Bangladesh. The publication is also known as TBS and is a top-ranking newspaper which maintains quality through efficient employees and provides standard news to news readersas one of the fastest-growing types of communications, online newspapers now provide readers with deeply and broadly relevant news.As an English Department student, I hope to pursue a career as an NGO official. Developing presentation and communication skills is required for this. I genuinely think working at a newspaper office is a better option for me to develop in this industry. On the other hand, I've been intrigued by the prospect of working in a newspaper office ever since my older brother began working in this industry. In addition, I completed the "Introduction to Journalism" course (course code: ENG334). The course delves into the various sections of a newspaper, such as editorials, op-eds, features, sports, COVID-19, obituaries, books, events, movie reviews, and so on. Being a student of the English Department I want to pursue my career as an NGO official. I am glad I started working inside TBS's newsroom and got to observe, explore, and be a part of the news-making process. I was excited when offered an internship at TBS's Online News Desk. en_US
