dc.description.abstract Abstract: A good social order becomes sine qua non in the age of globalization where nations struggle and aspire after development. Whatever may be the nature of a state and government, it needs good law and order for achieving desired social, economic, and cultural goals. Bangladesh, as a state, has its aim to “realize through the democratic process a socialist society, free from exploitation…” In achieving the goal set by the Bangladesh Constitution, state needs stable social order. Bangladesh Police is an integral part of Bangladesh state from the moment of its establishment as it has been entrusted for ensuring law and order. This article briefly discusses about the problems of Bangladesh Police. This write-up also evaluates the achievements and limitations of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB). In addition to discussion, evaluation, and critical analysis, researchers have underlined the necessity to reform Bangladesh Police and RAB. en_US
