Abstract

The term textile means originally a woven fabric, but textile & the plural textiles are now also applied to fibre, filament & yarn. Natural & manufactured fibre & most products for which these are raw materials are called textiles. This definition embraces, for example fibre based products in the following categories: threads, cords, ropes & braids, woven, knitted & non-woven fabrics, lace, nets & embroidery, hosiery knitwear & made up apparels, household textiles, soft furnishing & upholstery, carpets & other floor coverings, technical, industrial & engineering textiles include geo textiles & medical textiles. Textile education is based on industrial ground. Theoretical background is not sufficient enough, for why industrial training is an essential part of study to make a technologist technically sound in this field. Industrial training provides us to gather practical knowledge. Shasha Denims Ltd is one of the woven industry which produced 100 % export oriented denim based fabrics. The goal of Shasha Denims Ltd is to become the preferred partner for sourcing high quality denim fabrics from Bangladesh with highly advanced technology & an emphasis on developing local human resources. Shasha Denims Ltd has the potential to make an important contribution to the nation's growing woven fabric export sector. The rationale behind the existing structure & future expansion of Shasha Denims Ltd is to capture value added at each stage of the textile manufacturing process. Despite Bangladesh's lack of indigenous cotton production capability Shasha Denims Ltd has leveraged Bangladesh's labor cost advantage & export competitiveness to the maximum level.
