dc.description.abstract My studentship at Daffodil International University as a bachelor’s student is coming to an end after this internship report submission and presentation. A little over for years of learning, hardship and commitment is coming to an end. The things I have learned is not only from the teachers, but also from the people I met, place I went and observation. As a part of completing the degree, internship is a must, whether at a newspaper, of a TV station, a radio station, or in a bank, even doing a project. I was lucky enough to work as an intern at Bangladesh Betar, the only state-owned radio in Bangladesh. It was a very exciting experience for me. Everyone at the office took me a one of own and treated me well. They were very friendly when I queried for any information and helped me out every time I found doing something difficult. The controllers, assistant controllers taught me which news are broadcasted and which are not and why. They taught me how to write, edit, and trim the news for broadcast at Betar, mentionable are Ms. Tania Naznin, Mr. Haider Ali, and Mr. Md. Quanrul Islam. Mr. Shahin, a translator, helped me out the most, he was always cautious about my doings and guided me to do more and do things with care. And obviously heartiest appreciation for Mr. Md. Abdul Houqe, my supervisor. As I had to work on different shifts and there were different people all the time, he supervised me in a manner, I never felt like an outsider. Last but not least, I want to thank Mr. Aftab Hossain, lecturer of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, who was my academic supervisor, helped me out every time I needed to know anything not only related to the internship but more. He has overseen my work and aided throughout the time I had him as my teacher and also at the period of my internship. I humbly appreciate all he had done for me. I would like to take this chance to show my gratitude towards my parents, without their moral and financial support, I would not be here right now. My elder brother, who has always been by me side. And my creator, Allah, for giving me a mind to think, eyes to and hands to write. I am humble to the teachers and friends I have, as they shaped me, and my conceptions on the world. en_US
