The Investigation of Bitrate Effects on The Video Quality of PLECORD System

Abstract

Recently, lecture recording system is one of the important devices that are widely used in education system to record lecture for student’s benefit. The existing lecture recording system records the lecture and save it in different video container format which can effects the quality and size of the video. Futhermore changing the bitrates value in video recording can gives the same effect on video quality and size of the recorded video. In this paper, an investigation bitrates effect on the video by using Portable Lecture Recording System (PLECORD) is presented. PLECORD offers a simple and easy equipment set up for using it. Furthermore, PLECORD are using open source operating system and software. The recorded video file also in the open source format.By using this system, we investigate the bitrates effects on the recorded video file.
