dc.description.abstract |
POS (Point of Sale) system is a very popular information system widely used in most of the shopping malls worldwide. Despite its popularity, POS still needs architectural development from Software Engineering perspectives due to insufficient modeling of such systems in real life.
This project is on “Design and Development of Architecture of POS”. In this work we developed conceptual and logical model of POS from the perspectives of Software Engineering to propose an Object Oriented framework for the systems. The proposed model has also been implemented using JAVA with backend in MySQL and for the report generation we used ireport, an open source API for java report generation facilities.
After implementation the developed POS along with its model is tested for necessary transactions and found satisfactory. The future of this POS could be further improved through different extensions of the proposed model. |
