dc.description.abstract This project is on “Implementation of Lean production practices in Bangladeshi RMG (Ready Made Garments) industries”. The report emphasizes and illustrates the use of lean manufacturing tools and techniques that employed in the application of productivity improvements in Bangladeshi RMG (Ready Made Garments) industries. This is true today, as it was yesterday as it will be tomorrow. Millions of dollars are wasted each and every day in organization, through lack of awareness of this need to constantly improve productivity. Most of it can be stopped. The implementation of a lean manufacturing strategy represents a robust contribution to the phase sequence that leads to operational excellence and the continuous improvement through the elimination of non-value added activities. This paper studies the use of value stream mapping (VSM), 5S Method, Kaizen, Kanban, Visual Management, One-Piece Flow, Demand Management, Heijunka, Continuous Flow and Cell Design; Changeover Reduction etc are the tools of lean manufacturing implementation. As a consequence of just-in-time (JIT) implementation, manufacturers aim to achieve continuously improved productivity, cost, and product quality by eliminating all wastes in their production systems. In this paper I discussed a “Case Study” by which we can get the way of implementation procedure of lean manufacturing tools and technique. The Case Study consists of different experimental discussion, experimental result & discussion. By careful training, education, planning, assisting and co-coordinating the activities of supervision and employees solid improvements can be made. en_US
