Transportation Problem Transportation problem is one of the sub-class of Linear Programming (L.P) problems in which the objective is to transport various amount of a homogeneous commodity, that are initially stored at various origins, to different destinations in such a way that the total transportation cost is minimum. _Its major application yin solving problems involving several product sources and several destinations of products, this type of problem is frequently called the Transportation Problem (T.P). |
